Obituary -- 87 years old, died Tuesday morning, Jan 16, at his home in Seneca Missouri. He was born in Madill Tennessee, in March 1846. He went with his parents to McLeansboro Illinois, in 1858, where he was married in 1866 to Caroline Denny. When he was 31 years old they moved to Seneca, where he had resided 57 years at the time of this death. He is survived by three sons; Emery Bennett of Peoria Oklahoma. S. C. Bennett, W. R. Bennett and Lee Bennett of Seneca; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Hayden of Seneca, Mrs. Agnes Crockett of Fairland Oklahoma and Mrs. Ida Reynolds of Seneca; one brother, Sam Bennett, Seneca; 24 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Holiness church, conducted by the Rev. Howel of Webb City Missouri, assisted by the Rev. Gaines of Joplin Missouri. Pallbearers were grandsons: Claud Reynolds and Kenneth Reynolds, Oren Benneth and Odell Bennett, Will Kellogg and Elmer Kellogg. Burial was in Seneca Cemetery under direction of the Mitchelson undertakers, Commerce.
