Abstract Data
Obituary -- Funeral services for Charles Bellm, 28 year old farm resident living near Seneca Missouri, who committed suicide by hanging himself in a barn Monday afternoon, Feb 13th, will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Catholic church at Seneca. Bellm is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bellm, and two sisters, all living four miles southwest of Seneca. Bellm's father discovered the suicide, at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. The younger Bellm had tied a rope to a rafter in the barn and then, after tying it about his neck, had leaped from a stack of baled hay to his death. The elder Bellm told authorities the young man had been despondent for some time due to a separation from his wife and of the foreclosure sale on his farm last summer. He had been living with his parents for some time before his death. Burial will be in the Seneca cemetery under the direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company, Commerce Oklahoma.
