Abstract Data

Henry Spinks of Ottawa Oklahoma was badly injured
by a falling slab in one of the Quapaw mines last Thursday,
Mar 29, 1917. He was rushed to the Joplin Missouri hospital,
but recovery is doubtful

Funeral services for Henry Spinks, age 40 years,
were conducted at the Baptist church by Rev.
Weathers last Saturday afternoon. He died at the St. John's
hospital in Joplin Missouri following injuries received
two weeks before in the mines at Picher Oklahoma.
The remains were laid to rest in the Ottawa Indian cemetery
near Miami. Mr. Spinks had lived here for a number of years
and was well and favorably known. He is survived by a wife
and three children. The family has the sympathy of the entire
community in their bereavement.
