Chief Barlow attended a small country school and later the School of Mines, which is now Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College. Mr. Barlow was Chief Emeritus of the Ottawa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma having served as First Chief from 1972 to 1990. He also served as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Tribal Council of the eight Ottawa County Tribes. Indian rites will be conducted at the grave side by Charles Dawes.

Chief of the Ottawa Indian Tribe. Born Ottawa County Indian Territory on the Indian Reservation. Died Dallas Texas at home of a daughter. Father Titus William Barlow, mother Edith Thankful Barlow. Spouse Zelma M. Williams Barlow, married Aug 29, 1927 died Oct 27, 1995. Grandson son of Joseph Badger King, first Ottawa Chief after the tribe was relocated to Indian Territory.
