Elmer Dean Fry, of Chickasha Oklahoma, formerly of Miami was killed in a truck crash in Stephens county at 2:30 a.m. today, Feb 19, 1975. The highway patrolman was killed when the truck he was driving overturned at the junction of Oklahoma 76 and 29, about 22 miles east of Marlow Oklahoma. The death raised Oklahoma's 1975 traffic toll to 8, same as the figure at this time last year. Born Jan 27, 1934 in Bokoshe Oklahoma, Fry had lived in Miami since 1939. He moved to Chickasha recently . He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Gladys Fry, 118 ? East Central, Miami; three sons, Elmer D. Fry, Jr; Joe Fry and Roger Wayne Fry and a daughter Darlene Fry, all of Commerce, and a brother, Bennie Fry, 612 A, southeast, Miami. Services for Elmer Dean Fry, Miami, who was killed in a truck crash early Wednesday near Malow, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cooper funeral home chapel with Dr. Weldon Marcum officiating. Pallbearers will be Connes Ray Moudy, Harold Sims, Dewey Lacy, John Blizzard, Bobby Maxon and Bill Althouse.
