Abstract Data

Wilburt E. Walker - 28 years old died at 9 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Walker of Ottawa Oklahoma, following an illness of more than a year. Walker had been confined to his bed the last six months. He was an employee of the Eagle-Picher Mining Company a number of years and was a member of the local union of the Tri-State Hard Rock Lead and Zinc Mine Workers. Surviving relatives include the widow, Mrs. Edna Walker; four children Earl Walker, Virgil Walker, Norma June Walker and Bobbie Jo Walker, at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Walker; five brothers, Roy Walker of Wilburton Kansas, Clarence Walker, George Walker, Jess Walker, and Bee Walker; and five sisters, Mrs. Josephine Cantwell, Mrs. Madeline Hubbard, Misses Lelia Walker, Deta Walker, and Beulah Walker of Picher Oklahoma and vicinity. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery in Kansas. Green undertaking company, Picher.
