Abstract Data

J. M. Walker - an 81 year old pioneer of northeast Ottawa county Oklahoma, and father of George Walker of Picher Oklahoma died at his home 417 North Quincy street in Commerce Oklahoma Friday, Oct 4th. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Walker; four sons, Roy Walker of Baxter Springs Kansas, George Walker of Picher, Jess Walker of Klamath Falls Oregon and Bert Walker of Miami Oklahoma; four daughters: Mrs. Josephine Cantrell of Burbank California, Mrs. Lela Morrison of Needles California, Mrs. Deats Pridemore of Commerce and Miss Bea Walker of the home; four brothers, three sisters, 25 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Luther Marcus, Max Trask, Burl Turner, Benton Green, George Mayfield and Charles Seacat. Burial in the Greenlawn cemetery in Cherokee county Kansas.
