Treva Viola Carnahan - 2525 N. Elm, Miami, died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 1998. She was 78. Mrs. Carnahan was born Oct 20, 1919 near Bristow Oklahoma, to Frank Smith and Hazel Smith. She had lived in Miami for the past four months, moving from Picher Oklahoma, where she had lived all of her life. She was a 1938 graduate of Picher High School. She married Elmer Lee 'Doodle' Carnahan on Sep 8, 1940 at Vinita Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Jan 15, 1994. She is survived by one son, Douglas Lee Carnahan, Carthage Missouri; one daughter, Treva Maye Austin, Commerce Oklahoma, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 1998, at the Paul Thomas funeral Home of Picher. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery, Kansas. Pallbearers will be Brian Carnahan, James Lee Carnahan, James Austin, Ed Lane, Robert Cummins, and Allan Mathews. Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher.
