Hare, Walter I Sr.

Walter I. Hare Sr. - of Commerce Oklahoma, died at 5 a.m., Friday, Dec 20, 2002 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin Missouri after an illness. He was 85. Hare was born Aug 18,1917, in Wagner South Dakota, to Charles Wesley Hare and Electa Metoxen Hare. He was a member of the Yankton-Sioux Indian Tribe. He had lived in Commerce since 1945. He worked for B. F. Goodrich in Miami for 35 years before retiring in 1978. He was a World War II veteran, serving the Army Air Corps as a Tech Sergeant. Hare married Ida Mae Nuckolls on Jul 16, 1945. She preceded him in death on Nov 12, 1999. Burial will be in the Glen Abbey Memorial Garden cemetery east of Miami. Paul Thomas funeral home, Miami.
