The Island is visible on an 1873 map of Eudora. The city of Eudor was established 1857 Leander had a sister called Eudora Fish. There was a statue of Paschal and Eudore Fish (ca 1847-1866) unveiled Oct 6, 2007 Paschal Fish (1805-1893) was a Shawnee Indian Tribal Leader. In about 1870, he moved from Eudore to Indian Territory, near Miami. On Feb 2, 1893 Paschal was found frozen to death along Tar Creek, close to his home near the Oklahoma state line
