born Henry County Indiana came to the Quapaw Indian Agency, Indian Territory Oklahoma, before 1875 as a missionary. Worked with them over 40 years, and performed many marriages of many Indians, and settlers, before statehood. Called Uncle Jerry, he was beloved. He also performed many marriages after Oklahoma became a state. He was the pastor of the Friends Church, Miami and had been in the ministry for 40 years in Indian Territory and early Oklahoma Spouse Mary G. Sherward Hubbard
